Gustavia, December 26, 2018 – My Yacht® Group (MYG) returns to the island of St. Barth’s for “The Season Premiere”, an evening of glamour and high jewelry in partnership with Bvlgari, that will celebrate the rebirth of the island following the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma. Hosting Bvlgari clients, superyacht and villa owners and charterers, plus local and visiting HNW guests, the special evening aims to raise both funds and awareness for the ‘Association Saint-Barth Handicap’, a cause being shepherded by one of the island’s founding families.
With a vast, illuminated Bvlgari star and lettering highlighting a fuchsia ‘carpet’ in front of the harbor-side boutique, guests will be transported to a sparkling ‘La Dolce Vita’ experience with a fun twist. The in-store cocktail reception will include high jewelry popcorn machine vitrines, the chance to ‘grab and win’ Bvlgari items via a ‘claw’ game, and other lighthearted, movie-themed elements.
The evening marks a third St. Barth’s collaboration with MYG following an inaugural white party aboard M/Y Excellence V, and after-party on S/Y Maltese Falcon, in December 2016, and a sophomore Bvlgari in-store and yacht after-party aboard M/Y One More Toy celebrating Valentine’s Day in 2017. In keeping with those events, the name and location of the ‘secret’ yacht after party will remain a mystery until the night itself!
The evening welcomes a new MYG partner, Tradewind Aviation, that was founded in 2001 on the premise that every flight deserves the highest quality aircraft, crew and service. Headquartered in Oxford, CT, with operational bases at Westchester County Airport, NY and San Juan International Airport in Puerto Rico, Tradewind operates both on-demand private charter and scheduled “Shuttle” service throughout the U.S. and Caribbean. Routes include from the NY area to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, plus SJU to St. Barth’s, Anguilla, Nevis, Antigua, and St. Thomas.
Returning partner SiBarth is the only luxury villa rental company to call St. Barth’s home. Since 1975 it has proudly promoted the island, while helping to preserve its heritage, providing a tailor-made experience for all guests and owners, and offering a wide range of beautiful villas and bespoke island services.
The mission of the ASBH is to identify, help, accompany and support those who are responsible for any person (child, adolescent, or adult) with a physical or mental disability on SBH, and to provide support for the families of those with disabilities. The ultimate goal of the ASBH is to create a permanent learning and support center on the island dedicated to addressing these special needs.
Additional partners on board will include island-favourite and long-term partner Chateau d’Esclans pouring magnums and double magnums of Whispering Angel, plus custom cocktails celebrating “La Dolce Vita” created using Rebecca Creek Distillery’s fine Texas Whiskey and premium vodkas, and making their St. Barth’s debut.
