Los Angeles, November 25, 2019 – For an ninth consecutive year, My Yacht® Group welcomes returning presenting partner Vontobel Swiss Wealth Advisors AG, with board executives in attendance, aboard a private superyacht for its exclusive charity reception during the 18th iteration of the Art Basel® Miami Beach contemporary art fair.

Following a MYG premiere during the Monaco F1® Grand Prix weekend, Axiom Space makes its Miami debut: Continuing a series of (U)HNW curated “Night Before” private dinners from Monaco, to London and now to Miami, and then aboard the annual superyacht reception.

The Houston-based private company, led by a team with multiple decades of experience as industry leaders in human spaceflight – that include NASA’s former International Space Station program manager for 10 years, plus a 4-time astronaut with most logged ‘spacewalk’ hours – is expanding human access to low Earth orbit & building the world’s first internationally available commercial space station, to succeed the ISS in the near future.

In addition to on-orbit research & manufacturing programs, among others, Axiom has entered into an agreement with NASA to train and fly professional, as well as private, astronauts to the ISS.  10-day private astronaut missions will see Space Tourists train alongside professional NASA astronauts with a program designed with optimal preparation & minimal schedule disruption in mind.

Providing an elegant setting for the evening, guests will step aboard M/Y MISS MONEYPENNY V, currently for sale through Burgess Yachts. The 163ft / 50m Mangusta 165 Series, built in 2012 and fresh from a 2019 refit, boasts a sleek interior design by Stefano Righini, featuring bleached-teak wood floors, limed oak paneling, with accommodation for nine guests including a full beam master with separate owner’s office. Further features include a gym, media room, Jacuzzi, Seakeeper stabilizers, and triple MTU 4000 engines capable of cruising 27kn. In addition, a modest 1.6m (5.3ft) draft allows her to explore reefs, lagoons and shallows that are normally off-limits to many large yachts.

MYG is delighted to welcome YachtAid Global (YAG) aboard as a new charity partner. YAG provides humanitarian aid, conservation and disaster response leadership, with work encompassing global programs, logistics management and consultation for superyachts which want to contribute to the world around them.

When natural disaster strikes – as witnessed with the catastrophic Hurricane Dorian – YAG coordinates the acquisition and delivery of humanitarian aid to impacted coastal communities, working with a global network of volunteers, vetted NGOs and disaster relief experts.

A silent auction of art works, including unique photographs by a selection YAG yacht Captains, and an array of collectible items, plus onboard pledges, will 100% benefit the incredible work being done by YAG’s volunteer board and supporters.

Long-term partner Rebecca Creek Distillery will create custom cocktails using its premium Enchanted Rock Vodka and Rebecca Creek Whiskey for a distinguished guestlist that’s set to include Art Basel VIP Collector’s Circle members, Institute of Contemporary Art Board of Trustees, Founders & Patrons, plus international art collectors, artists, gallerists, and international and S. Florida (U)HNW guests.
