May 31, 2017, Monaco – The Monaco Grand Prix, recognized as one of the most iconic social and sporting gatherings in the world, celebrated its 75th Anniversary in grand style with Ferrari’s Vettel & Raikkonen making it a 1-2 atop the podium ahead of Red Bull’s Ricciardo following the race around the twisty road course of the tiny Principality. My Yacht® was trackside on Quay Kennedy for a weekend of onboard race viewing and luxury hospitality, including its 12th Annual Friday night charity reception that benefitted longtime charitable partner Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

The evening welcomed distinguished HNW guests from around the world including easyGroup founder and Gustavia Yacht Club Commodore Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, and Baroness Michelle Mone OBE, along with F1 Drivers, plus summer and winter Olympians, superyacht owners, global CEOs, and more.

Aboard My Yacht® in Monaco for the first time, title sponsor Bvlgari expanded on a partnership that began with two superyacht receptions in St. Bart’s during the 2016 ‘season’ and will continue there in December 2017. My Yacht® Group founder Nicholas Frankl wore an Octo timepiece, while twin sister Annabelle wore a rose gold and diamond Serpenti necklace with matching earrings.

Returning partner Silver Arrows Marine displayed its stunning Arrow460-Granturismo, with guests eager to explore the sleekly-styled, 14.7m luxury motor yacht created in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Style – the non-automotive design arm of Daimler AG. Moored next to M/Y Lady in Blue for the evening, the yacht provided luxury, high-speed transfers to the harbor, plus opportunities for longer sea trials, throughout the weekend. Also on hand for demonstrations throughout the weekend an 8.5m Pro ‘Black Hawk’ from Xtenders.

Local Monegasque artist Patrick Gibelli displayed a selection if his “Genie’ sculptures, including the very first in his “Monaco Genie Albert Foundation” series. Heralding the beginning of an ongoing collaboration between his atelier and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation – whose purpose is to protect the environment and encourage sustainable development – the piece was silent auctioned on Friday evening, with 100% of proceeds benefitting the PA2F.

A live set by DJ Hang Massive enchanted the global selection of guests who enjoyed fine foods – sustainably sourced Caviar Perlita – along with the finest wines and spirits including Perrier-Jouët Rosé and brut, and magnums and double magnums of Chateau d’Esclans Les Clans and Deesse.
